Gainesville Modern is excited to announce the official launch of our first ever film. The 47 minute film “A Tour From Home” puts a virtual spin on our popular Mid-Century Modern home tours. This film highlights 7 architect designed Mid-Century Modern homes and will include many homes not seen before.

The film was launched November 18th, 2021. “A Tour from Home” features homes designed by Architects Harry Merritt, Dan Branch, Arthur Campbell, Tom Russell & Howard Melton, Bob Tucker and Don Alford. About Gainesville Modern: Gainesville Modern is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Gainesville’s modern architectural past and promoting its future through education, advocacy, and awareness. Money raised will help continue our efforts in providing National Register nominations for significant buildings and homes, support for Habitat for Humanity, internships for the University of Florida’s Historic Preservation Program, the UF’s Special Collections collaboration and Gainesville Modern Archive, and work like our partnership with the City of Gainesville on their recent survey of Mid-Century architecture.
